Hope you’re having a good evening.
And for those not in Seattle this Wednesday, thank you for tuning in wherever you are now in space and time.
This morning, I presented my piece in class and spoke about cultural conformity as a racially ambiguous woman:

My favorite part about my process of creation is leaning into intuition, whims, and intention. The outcome is fascinating. You make art by listening to what your eyes, the eb and flow waves of thoughts, to the rhythm of your body, and then your creation stares back at you like a mirror. You get to observe your existence of you!

Just now watching it, I am reminded of the importance of community, dance, and artistic entrepreneurship for this revolution we lead in time.
Which in turn, made me think of:
The culmination of today’s events make me want to call out to the city on your little screen, to beakon you to start a new conversation.
One that echoes our reality, not one that kneels to the static of status and the American Dream.
