the free thought paywall

I am educated (by western standards), and I am grateful.

I have been in school since I was 3 years old. I went to a Montessori because my mother believed the Catholic approach towards a child’s developing years, guaranteed strength and intelligence, which are crucial attributes in growing a person.

The nervous system must be regulated in a biological hierarchy of needs:

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Maslow.

Without this structure, a person is disregulated.

I believe that truly engaging with a higher education’s standard of self, requires a societal structure baseline.

This meaning, that society must support those in search of a free thought space, because economically, achieving that status of student, is regulated by wealth (in America).

Being a child of a divorced marriage, the only blood of my kin, neglected and abused, survived under poverty, though family death, and the death of family – my needs were unstable when I moved to Seattle to attend UW for Biochemistry. The level of self actualization was out of reach.

This is what I see in others. The foundation of support for economically and socially disadvantaged people, is a crushing weight on their self actualization: the application of energy and time into space.

Additionally, the weight of the foundation that yearns for communal support, are then medicalized and labeled as disabilities, effects, the daunting outcome.

Oh cure us, magic man!

The magic man is of plastered thick oil, dressed in a suit. He is still.

Sometimes he gives me receipts.
